More than 30 new essays have been added to the Programme section. The essays have been written by Danish and German students who stayed at ECLC during the summer semester 2015, from March to July. All of these essays were written and handed in as homework by our students. The essays discuss different topics, ranging from economic to cultural issues.

22 Jun 2015 University of Oslo joins ECLC

All partners of the ECLC would like to welcome our newest member, the University of Oslo and its Department of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages (IKOS). As from now Oslo is a member of the ECLC programme, and the first group of Bachelor students will study in Beijing during the coming winter semester, together with Master students from Würzburg.

16 May 2015 Office Hours and Contact Information Updated

Franziska Fröhlich from the University of Würzburg's Department of Chinese Studies at the Institute of Cultural Studies is staying as Managing Director at the ECLC office during the summer semester 2015. Her office hours are from Tuesday to Thursday, 9.00-12.00.

27 May 2014 Excursion to Yanjing Brewery & Shilinxia

On 23 May 2014 a group of German and Danish students, together with students from Thailand, Korea and Japan, went on an all-day excursion to Yanjing Brewery and Shilinxia Scenic Area. On this all-day excursion all together more than 90 students visited asia's largest beer brewing and bottling facility and one of Beijing's nices scenic spots.

19 Mar 2014 Annual ECLC-Meeting held in Aarhus

This year's meeting of the European partner institutions was held on 20 February 2014 in Aarhus, Denmark. The meeting was hosted by the Department of Asian Studies at Aarhus University, with seven members of this department participating in the meeting, and two members from the Department of Chinese Studies at the Institute for Cultural Studies at University of Würzburg.

04 Mar 2014 Office Hours for Summer Term 2014 updated

Programme Director Monica Mu will be in office on Mondays and Tuesdays from 13.30 p.m. to 16.00 p.m.. Wuerzburg University's Managing Director Florian Thuenken, who will stay for the whole summer term 2014, will be present in office on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon.

In October 11 students from Vienna and Würzburg visited the Baway Education school in Beijing. Baway Education is a vocational school, situated in the Haidian District of Beijing, where students are taught practical skills.
